This policy explains how Darts Match Centre handles information when you use dartsscorer.uk. Darts Match Centre is owned and operated in the United Kingdom by OutOut, an independent digital publishing project. OutOut is the data controller for information processed directly by this service.

Information you provide

When you start or record a game, we may store player names, scores, visits, match results, practice results, league information and statistics. If you reserve a player profile, we store the profile information you enter and a protected password hash. We do not store your password in readable form.

Session and technical information

The service uses session tokens and essential browser storage to keep you signed in, protect score entry and connect your device to an active match. The web server may also record routine technical information such as an IP address, browser type, requested page, date and time for security, reliability and fault diagnosis.

Analytics

Google Analytics is loaded only after you choose “Accept analytics” in our privacy controls. Analytics helps us understand which pages and tools are useful. You can continue using the scorer with essential storage only and can reopen Cookie settings from any page.

Advertising

If advertising is introduced, third-party vendors including Google may use cookies, web beacons, IP addresses or similar technologies to serve and measure advertising. Advertising consent for UK and EEA visitors will be managed through a Google-certified consent platform. Gameplay and score-entry pages are intended to remain free from disruptive advertising.

How information is used and our lawful bases

To provide the scorer, profiles, rankings and requested league features under our contract with you.
To calculate statistics, achievements and progress as part of the service you request.
To protect accounts, prevent misuse, diagnose faults and improve reliability where we have a legitimate interest.
To use optional analytics where you have given consent.
To meet legal obligations where applicable.

Sharing and international processing

We do not sell personal information. Information is shared only with service providers needed to host, secure, measure or operate the website, or when disclosure is legally required. Match and ranking information may be public where that is part of the feature being used. Providers such as Cloudflare and Google may process technical or analytics information outside the United Kingdom; where this happens, we rely on the safeguards made available by those providers and applicable data-protection law.

Retention

Match and practice records are retained to provide history and rankings. Security and diagnostic logs are retained only as reasonably necessary. Records may be deleted or anonymised when they are no longer required, subject to backups, security needs and another player’s connected match history.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may ask for access to your personal information, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or an objection to processing. Where processing depends on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time using Cookie settings. Some results may need to be anonymised rather than removed where they also form part of another player’s match history.
