Double-out training

Darts doubles practice

If the scoring is good but legs keep disappearing on the outer ring, isolate the problem. Use two browser-based doubles drills while you throw at your real board.

Two ways to practise every double

The Training Hub includes Bob's 27 and a doubles ladder. Both move through the board from D1 to bull, but they measure different things.

Pressure

Bob's 27

Start on 27 points. Hits add value; a completely blank round subtracts the target double.

Accuracy

Doubles ladder

Throw three darts at every double and simply build a total hit count and conversion percentage.

Results stay separate from ranked 501 averages and can be compared with previous attempts.

Which doubles drill should you use?

Use the doubles ladder when you want a clean accuracy baseline. Use Bob's 27 when you want the score to punish blank rounds and create a little pressure. Alternating the two gives you both a conversion measure and a competitive PB.

Baseline

Start with ladder

Find out how many doubles you actually hit from a fixed number of darts.

Pressure

Then play Bob's 27

Try to protect the score as the double values increase.

Match play

Finish with 501

Use Solo Practice afterwards to see whether the doubles improvement survives inside a real leg.
